Principal’s Message
As the principal of Kaleen Primary School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our vibrant and inclusive community. Located in Belconnen, in the northern region of the Australian Capital Territory, our school is dedicated to fostering a safe, nurturing environment where every child is known, valued, and feels a genuine sense of connection.
At Kaleen Primary, we embrace and celebrate cultural diversity, enriched by students from many different backgrounds, including our First Nations students. We place great importance on the depth this diversity brings, and we are committed to creating a space where all students experience growth, learn effectively, and develop a strong sense of belonging.
Our vision is to engage, equip, and empower every child to become a lifelong learner. We focus on the holistic development of each student, emphasising cross-disciplinary knowledge, critical and creative thinking, and problem-solving skills—all essential for success in an ever-evolving world.
We proudly acknowledge our connection to the Ngunnawal people, the traditional custodians of this land. We are dedicated to building respectful, collaborative relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, local community members, and service providers. Our aim is to deepen our students' and staff’s understanding of Indigenous histories, cultures, and knowledge.
As principal, I am privileged to be part of each child’s journey at Kaleen Primary. I look forward to supporting your child’s growth and success and am honoured to lead this exceptional school community.

Kaleen Primary School Home Learning Hub
Learning doesn't just happen in the classroom.
The Kaleen Primary School Home Learning Hub is a resource for families to support their child in continuing their educational journey outside the classroom.
This includes:
- Video resources aimed at supporting parents in developing their students literacy and numeracy at home
- Access to digital resources to reinforce curriculum areas covered at school
- Scheduling advice and resources to support families and students who are unable to attend school for an extended period.
